Special Class Railway Apprentice (SCRA) is a very prestigious examination, conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) on behalf of Indian Railways for a 4 year of apprenticeship. On successfully completing the same, SCRA are absorbed as a Class-1 officer in Indian Railway Service of Mechanical Engineering (IRSME).

Notification Regarding SCRA 2011 Online Application form :-
SCRA application form 2011 along with an SCRA 2011 Information Brochure containing general instructions for filling up the SCRA online form, an acknowledgment card / Admit Card and an envelope for sending the application is obtainable from the designated Head Post Offices/Post Offices throughout the country as listed in Appendix-III of Notice against cash payment of Rs. 20/- (Rupees twenty only).

SCRA 2011 application Form should be purchased from the designated Post Offices only and not from any other agency. This form can be used only once and for only one examination. Candidates can also apply Online for SCRA 2011 using the link http://www.upsconline.nic.in Detailed instructions for filling up online applications are available on the above mentioned website.

Candidates who with to apply offline must use the form supplied with the SCRA 2011 Information Brochure only and they should in no case use photocopy/reproduction/unauthorisedly printed copy of the SCRA Application Form 2011.

You should also write the name of examination viz."Special Class Railway Apprentices' Examination, 2011" on the envelope before dispatching it to the following address

SCRA 2011 Admit Card :-

Admit card of SCRA 2011 will be sent to successful applicant on their postal address. If you don't get your SCRA 2011 Admit Card before last 2 weeks of examination you can download admit from online portal also. If an applicant fails to affix the postage stamp of requisite amount his Admit Card will not be dispatched and Commission will not be responsible for non-receipt of SCRA 2011 Admit Card by the applicant.

Date of Notification for SCRA-2011: 19 Feb 2011 (Saturday).
Last date for receipt of application form: 21 Mar 2011 (Monday)
Date of SCRA Exam, 2011: 24 July 2011 (Sunday)
