Procedure for obtaining XAT Bulletin from XAT Office using Payment Gateway, XLRI Jamshedpur and procedure for XAT Registration
2.	XAT Registration: In order to register online for XAT, the candidate has to visit the website www.xlri.net.in and click "XAT Registration". The XAT Registration page opens up wherein he/she has to fill-in the online XAT form. The information to be provided includes personal details and payment option details.
3.	XAT ID and Password: After successful submission of the personal details and payment mode, the candidate will immediately get his/her XAT ID and password (which is automatically generated by the system) by email. The candidate has to log in to his/her e-mail address provided for registration and validate the mail received by him from XLRI. The XAT ID and password needs to be retained by the candidate for future correspondence with XAT Office, downloading XAT Admit card and other transactions at www.xlri.net.in .
4.	Complete Form: The candidate visits www.xlri.net.in and logs in XAT registration using his/her XAT ID and password. The candidate continues and completes his/her education details.
5.	Select XAT Associate Institute: The candidate has to then select the names of XAT Associate Institutes. (View list of XAT Associate Institutes).
6.	Make online payment: The candidate has the option to make an online payment using the Axis Bank payment gateway. The candidate can use a credit card/debit card or make use the net banking facility by paying an amount of Rs. 950/- (excluding service charges and taxes). Please note that American Express cards cannot be used to make the online payment. To make an online payment, select the online payment option in the form by clicking on the radio button. Candidate is taken to the payment gateway of Axis Bank where the payment mode (credit card/debit/online banking) has to be selected. After successful transaction, candidate will be redirected to the confirmation page where transaction details are displayed. This has to be saved and a copy of the same printed.
6.	Download XAT PP Form: After making the payment the candidate is enabled to download the XAT PP Form, which he/she has to save. It has space for photograph and signature. Candidate has to print a copy of the PP form.
7.	Send the PP Form: The candidate has to paste securely his/her recent passport size colour photograph and put his/her signature in the designated space provided on the XAT PP Form. The candidate has to enclose a copy of the XAT PP Form and send it by courier/registered post/speed post so as to reach XAT Office, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur-831001 within seven days of receiving the payment acknowledgement date.
8.	Mailing Bulletin to Candidate: XAT office, XLRI Jamshedpur will send the XAT Bulletin 2011 after receiving the XAT PP Form and online payment receipt of Rs. 950/-. Candidates are not required to send the detachable form given inside the bulletin.
9.	Keeping a copy of XAT ID & Password: The candidate is advised to keep a copy of the online payment receipt, printout of XAT ID and password for future correspondence with XAT Office, downloading XAT Admit Card and other transaction at www.xlri.net.in .
10.	Download Admit Card: For Admit Card, the candidate has to visit our website www.xlri.net.in any time between 18 December 2010 and 31 Decemeber 2010 and take a print out of the same where the address of the test centre will be mentioned.

Joint Management Entrance Test (JMET) is the first step in the process of admission to the TWO YEAR FULL TIME Postgraduate Degree Programmes in Management offered by the IITs. Currently IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, and IIT Roorkee offer Programmes in Management.

JMET is only a qualifying examination. Candidates have to apply separately to the Institutes of their choice. They are also advised to look up the admission details provided in the respective websites of the participating Institutes. There is no limit to the number of programmes a candidate can apply to, so long as he or she meets the eligibility criteria.

The results of JMET provide a basis to each participating Institute to shortlist potential candidates for conducting its own selection processes like, Group Discussion/Interview etc. However, calling the candidates for such later process of selection is the prerogative of the admitting Institute. Candidates should note that the final selection would depend on their performance in each of the components of the selection process.

JMET qualified candidates may contact the management departments/schools of the concerned institutes for additional information. It may be noted that the GATE/JMET offices will not respond to queries on the admission procedure.
